Limerick #2

My pantries are filled full of starches
My cabinets with cookies and tartses
‘Til these stuffs dissipate
Eating Paleo must wait
‘Cause I’m poor and I can’t waste these carbses.

    When you were only eleven,
You grew till you almost reached heaven,
    With bread and leftovers
    (You didn't need Kroger's)
Your mind, wit and body to leaven!

  2. To heaven, you say? Oh poor mother
You mean this son of yours? Not another?
    Bread might bolster kinetics
    But I’m stuck with genetics
My growth spurt they did hasten to smother.
